2XI Asia-Pacific GP Sprint & Launch Pad Cohorts

We are thrilled to announce the Asia-Pacific Cohort for the GP Sprint and Launch Pad.

2X Ignite, with the support from Australian Aid and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), launched an introductory and acceleration programme for female-led or gender-balanced fund managers with gender smart investing strategies across the Asia-Pacific region.

The 2XI APAC GP Launch Pad is an introductory practical training course for candidates that are in the early stages of developing and designing their fund. Meanwhile, the 2XI APAC GP Sprint will provide tailored guidance, practical exercises and network facilitation for GPs with the aim of accelerating their reaching their first close. Both programmes will run in parallel from October 2023 until March 2024.

The 2XI APAC GP Sprint Cohort

Applicants to the 2XI APAC GP Sprint underwent a three-staged competitive selection process, including an interview by a group of limited partners (LPs) from the 2X Global network in Asia. Fund managers with diverse GLI strategies and investment vehicles were selected.

The GP Sprint cohort of the nine selected fund managers comprises of:

The programme will be run by Christian Rangen of Strategy Tools & Link VC, Elena Haba and Marijn Wiersma of 2X Global, a team of investment professionals from across 2X’s global network, and a handpicked team of strategic advisors including Laurien Field, Simon Gupta, Nurul Hai, Genevieve Heng, Eleanor Keppelman, Danni Li, Josephine Price, Paola Ravacchioli, Sven Soderblom, and Sagar Tandon who bring long standing experience in fund management and investing in a regional context.

The 2XI APAC GP Launch Pad Cohort

Applicants to the GP Launch Pad undertook a two-staged competitive selection process and were shortlisted based on the strength of their application, and their interest in learning more about the fundamentals of fund design. The Launch Pad programme will be anchored by the 2X Ignite Digital Academy - a platform providing courses and programs for pioneering gender-smart fund managers.
